Look Who’s Talking in Wilbur: The Other Intelligence Chimes In on Crop Circle Alignments

Two crop circles have appeared in the United States since my alignments map was posted in July, and each independently reveals a connection to the Other Intelligence.  Both the Wilbur and Chillicothe circles, in fact, can even be read as deliberate replies to that map explication.  Indeed, what other form would such a reply take?

Speculation aside about exactly how the circle came to appear in the field, consider the evidence pointing to the involvement of the Other Intelligence in Wilbur’s design and geographic placement.  Through the interpretive keys of shape, synchronicity and alignment, what understanding might we derive from these new circles?  Are map alignments a litmus test for communication with the Other Intelligence?

Shape and Synchronicity “Where the Lightning Strikes”

Wilbur 2012 appeared almost like a comment written in wheat a few days after I published The Sum of Its Parts:  Finding Emergent Meaning in Crop Circle Maps. The diagram was immediately and intensely hypnotic; something about it drew me in completely.  I found the formation’s threefold geometry graceful and balanced, echoing the triangular alignments map.

Looking past the relatively-simple outer borders of the formation we see a dynamic inner triangle in the wheat, created by the floor pattern.  The triangle’s luminous zigzag border is comprised of three lightning bolts joined to form a triangle shining up from the circle’s floor.  For clarity, I’ve outlined it in the photo here.  What could it mean?

One book used in my research for the alignments map explication was Where the Lightning Strikes:  The Lives of American Indian Sacred Places, by Peter Nabokov.   Weeks earlier, the book had been central to a smallish synchronicity when I had first opened the it randomly to the page dedicated to Bear Butte.  The zigzag feature of the Wilbur 2012 crop circle seems to be saying, “Look!  Here is where the lightning strikes.”

And then there was the time lightning from a clear blue sky struck very near me in Kansas, in the utter absence of any storm - an event without mundane explanation.  I associate the errant lightning with the UFO sightings and apparent ET encounters involving electricity that I was experiencing fairly frequently at the time, contact which reached a peak with the arrival of crop circles in my life in 1995.

Might electricity itself be a clue from the Other Intelligence?   I just now looked online and found a brief 1985 article in The New York Times titled “Electricity May Play Role in Plant Growth.”  The article reports that researchers had shown that, depending on the direction of the current, plant growth was either accelerated or stunted by the application of electricity.  The premise that electricity can be applied to affect plant growth is demonstrated in my own living room, where a 4-foot tall hibiscus tree stands near the television, and the branches directly over the back of the TV set have leaves twice or three times the size of the other leaves.  I wonder if the Herington, Kansas crop circle, which showed a full range of accelerated and decelerated growth while in the field, may have carried information about the potential applications of the circlemaking energy, which may be electric in nature.  I haven’t yet explored possible alignment map correspondences with the Herington formation, but with this new insight in mind, another article may be in the offing.

A Path to the Pleiades Via Crop Circle Alignments

When we actively seek to interpret the messages carried by crop circles, we find that shape alone barely scratches the surface.  Synchronicities help refine the unique meaning we derive from a given formation, which may in turn assist us in deciphering universal messages as well.  Map placement, especially with a predictive quality, has been offered as a possible indicator of the Other Intelligence, since many of the alignments I’ve found thus far suggest an omniscient presence working behind the scenes.  So naturally, the next step in deciphering Wilbur 2012 involves plugging it in to the existing alignments map.

As I anticipated, Wilbur created a new and especially pertinent alignment:  The 860-mile long direct line between myself and the Wilbur circle is lengthened by only two miles if we factor in a slight detour to the Teton circle.

Once this line was established, I noticed that if extended beyond Wilbur, the line continued on through the mountainous region of northern Washington.  Wouldn’t it take the cake if it led directly to the Pleiades Mountain summit in the North Cascades?  I was disappointed when I found the line didn’t match up, but I was compelled, nonentheless, to see if Pleiades summit showed up via any other alignments on the map.  The importance of the Pleiades star system to the creation stories of the Lakota and other cultures can’t be overstated, and I’ve shared in great detail how the Pleiades infused my crop circle initiation in 1995.  Because of these correspondences, I felt absolutely certain that Pleiades summit would play some role here, so I dug deeper.

Where to look next?  In 1995, when all the Pleiadean connections came flooding to me in the weeks just prior to the Inman crop circle, I was living in Emporia, Kansas.  That had to be it!  I placed my home near 15th and West Street in Emporia on the map, extended a line from there directly to the Pleiades summit 1458 miles away, and voila!  The line breezes past Wilbur 2012.  My understanding of this?  The crop circles, the Other Intelligence and the Pleiades are all interconnected - and by virtue of our participation we realise we are an integral part of the web of connection too.

With the addition of Wilbur and the Pleiades summit to the alignments map, it seems there is no end to the correspondences that continue to arise by intuitively exploring the encoded information.  The next installment of map additions and explications is coming soon, with additional power spots and several latitude/longitude synchronicities added.  Next we’ll see what happens when we factor in the location of the Hopewell Mounds crop circle near Chillicothe, Ohio.

The Sum of Its Parts: Finding Emergent Meaning in Crop Circle Maps

Monday, July 16th, 2012

Crop circle communication is a process replete with symbols, riddles, and metaphor.  Multiple possible meanings radiate from the shape and context of each circle, as well as through synchronicities of events, locations, and even unspoken thoughts.

By mapping seemingly-isolated formations and their associated synchronicities, the resultant geographies bring out meanings previously hidden in uncharted territory, affording us radical new insights into the language of the crop circles - and thereby the true nature of the phenomenon.

The map I’ll be explicating here is infused with evidence of what I call the Other Intelligence.

As Crop Circles Speak, the Map Speaks

We apply filters to just about everything we perceive.   A cacophony of many voices falls away, for instance, when we hear our name spoken in a crowd; similarly, the meaning we derive from a crop circle is ours uniquely.   But curiously, the alignments map instead met me with an agenda of its own - no external filter needed.

That a map like would fall together like this is unlikely, so acknowledging the alternative - that these elements have been shared with us this way, on purpose, by an intelligence we’ve yet to identify - is critical.  With that acknowledgement comes the responsibility to listen.  Listen.

The interpretation of the signal is, of course, a subjective task: I present it as I see it, and I encourage others to explore the territory by clicking on interactive map and reading the articles linked in the narrative. But again, at the most basic level, simply listen and the clues themselves will highlight messages encoded in the transmission.

The Origin of the Alignments Map

View Crop Circle Alignments (Original Map) in a larger map

The Topeka-Inman-Plevna line tipped me off about the Other Intelligence:  the Inman formation appeared when wished for, and on a line that would eventually connect to the location where I later learned about it.   In short, the place points on the TIP line are out of time-order, speaking to the relatively omniscient nature of the Other Intelligence.

Some measure of choice is necessary, both to provide a context and to help guide interpretation.   I select Inman KS, Langdon ND, and Teton ID to anchor this map specifically because of each formation’s relative importance to me personally.   The resulting triangle, along with the parallel TIP line, provides a visual hook - an element of design that resonates with the pleasing geometries of the crop circles themselves.  Surely this map similarly contains messages awaiting discovery; I’m drawn in and begin exploring.

The triangle’s center highlights a vast and beautiful landscape, the Badlands of South Dakota, sacred to the indigenous people of the region.  Specifically, the center is over Stronghold Table, or Onagazi - site of the the Lakota Ghost Dance in 1890 that eventually led to the Massacre at Wounded Knee.

As I look closer, a Native American theme continues to emerge.  I learn that Teton is another word for Lakota - as in Lakota Sioux, who have especially strong ties to the Badlands.

I find Bear Butte on the line from the Inman circle through the center of the triangle (the Inman-Center line). Bear Butte rises almost a quarter of a mile above the surrounding plains.  Here the Lakota and other tribes commune with Wakan Tanka, the Great Spirit, the central spiritual link connecting us with all of nature.

Black Elk said Wakan Tanka hears us even when we speak softly, which corresponds directly to crop circle phenomena, where private wishes and questions often elicit a response from the Other Intelligence.  Bear Butte thus echoes an important theme of this map: “Communication with an Other Intelligence.”

The Teton-Center line eventually arrives at Spirit Lake, Iowa, site of an 1857 massacre in which white settlers were killed by a band of Santee Sioux in a backlash against the theft of their native land and broken treaties.  In a double synchronicity, the Langdon-Center line also crosses the Spirit Lake Sioux reservation on the southern shores of Devils Lake.  I’m hearing, “Beware of the modern materialistic life that severs our link with the natural world.”

The Watertown SD crop circle of 1996, reached by extending a line from a point 1/4 of the way from Teton to Inman through the center of the triangle, virtually shouts intentional design embedded in the map.  Specific elements built into the complex visual form of this crop circle refer to Kokopelli, a trickster figure associated with fertility and agriculture.  Known to virtually all cultures, the trickster is a shapeshifter who enchants and encourages us - just as crop circles themselves do.  Here the message reads, “Pay attention, and have fun.”

As the import of the Lakota theme was reinforced time and time again, I experienced an epiphany relating to the cloud circle of 1998, which presented my friend Ron and me with an immediate, direct, and lucid response to a private conversation. Grandfather Sky is Wakan Tanka, is the Great Spirit, and is indeed responsive to our very thoughts and wishes, as Black Elk reminded us. I have yet to explore any clues that may arise from the cloud circle’s place point on the map, but that experience is now quite clearly a resonant thread in the map’s theme. I am reminded of the co-creative nature of crop circles.

Other ties to the tribal theme are found in associated synchronicities that I’ve not detailed here yet, including one related to the discovery of the remains of a medicine wheel in central Kansas during a plane flight in search of crop circles. I’m also researching a Lakota connection to the star people of the Pleiades, and a possible tie with the numerous Pleiadean-themed synchronicities that accompanied my first crop circle experience.

More Alignments and Number Synchronicities

Aside from the Lakota theme, other clues and insights inform the map.  Synchronicities and alignments are deftly interwoven here, each one turning up the volume of this conversation with the Other Intelligence:

· In a close correspondence, the total area of Kansas (82,282 square miles), my home state and the place I was introduced to crop circles at the Inman crop circle in 1995, comprise almost precisely 1/3 of the total area of the triangle (246,815 square miles).  The 31 square mile discrepancy is negligible in the overall dimensions of the map.  I take note of “one-third” as a potential message here.

· In another very close correspondence, on the Topeka-Inman-Plevna line, the Inman crop circle appears 39.86 miles from Plevna - almost exactly 1/4 of the 159 miles from Plevna to Topeka.  Add “one-fourth” to the clues.

· Plevna, Montana, sharing a rare place name with Plevna, Kansas of the T-I-P line, appears in the vicinity of where the Inman-Center line connects with the Langdon-Teton line.  This synchronicity, though of a smaller magnitude than the others described here, undoubtedly adds resonance to the map.  Here I’m reading, “Home,” as Plevna is where I spent a good many years of my youth, and is still where I go home to when I visit Kansas.

· The Inman-Teton line passes fellow UFO and ET experiencer Mike Clelland’s residence at a distance of less than two miles - which is a doubly remarkable coincidence since Mike, like myself and many others, desired a crop circle encounter and directly received a formation in response.  The message here once again echoes Black Elk’s reminder that the Great Spirit hears and responds even to our whispers.

· And if all of that were not enough, the Langdon-Center line eventually skirts the western edge of Boulder, Colorado - where I currently reside.  I’m hearing two things here: “Culmination,” and “Be here now.”  With this correspondence, I sense that the alignments map and all within it have come full circle, so to speak, and reflects the tribal wisdom that all things are created in a circle.  While I’m grounded in Boulder, I’m being called to explore the Badlands, climb Bear Butte, and meet with the Lakota.

What Does All of This Mean?

The facts of the map speak for themselves, and it’s up to us to interpret what is being said.

Since the map’s order and meaning arise directly from the overlay of meaningful correspondences tied to relevant points widely separated in time and space, I can only conclude that this map’s designer possesses a relative omniscience.  The Other Intelligence wants to speak with us, and it’s no small talk - this is important stuff, and it’s ours to explore.  Ultimately, the communication is what we make of it.

To me, the importance of honouring tribal wisdom is integral to the meaning of the alignments map. The Lakota and other indigenous peoples have honoured Earth and all creation through a way of life that’s deeply reverent of nature and spirit.  The fragmentation of a people starts and ends with conformity to a way of life devoid of nature and short on respect, such as we see resulting from modern technologies that disconnect us from one another and from our life source. Wholeness can be regained by deliberately reconnecting with the natural and the spirit world through time-honoured ritual, respect, reverence, and gratitude - all of which are missing or minimised in the modern lifestyle.

The original Lakota way of life, now in jeopardy, is in alignment with the crop circle phenomenon, where meanings aren’t dictated by force or violence, but rather are communicated through patient guidance, a respect for individuality, and an emphasis on the natural world. Crop circles aren’t imposing anything; they aren’t out to hurt anyone or pollute the environment.

With gratitude to the Other Intelligence, I carry on this conversation.

The Layered Language of Crop Circles: Connecting the Dots in Extraordinary Phenomena Research

Sunday, October 16th, 2011

Please access the interactive maps via links accompanying the photos, as they will allow you to explore the alignments discussed here.

Map created with help from Mike Clelland.  Visit Mike’s site Hidden Experience for more insights into synchronicity, ET contacts, and other curious topics.

Crop circles, UFOs, and synchronicities are clues to our connection with a largely-unseen web of reality.  Our interactions with these phenomena demonstrate that we aren’t isolated packets of consciousness, but that we are transmitters and receivers of meaning through language.

We find that where these extraordinary phenomena occur in conjunction with one another and are then plotted on a map, a brilliant and always-evolving syntax emerges.  As we wish, we are given to explore a language that has nothing to do with the describing the mundane and everything to do with navigating the fringes of reality.

In this first of two posts, I’ll lay the framework for an upcoming report detailing my ongoing exploration of what these alignments may mean.  Of course, like all the great mysteries of life, our understanding of this elusive level of reality is ultimately subjective, so I invite you to draw your own conclusions.

ONE: The Topeka-Inman Line.  This straight alignment in Kansas is comprised of three interrelated locations: 1) the place where I privately wished for a crop circle, 2) the place where I learned about the requested crop circle five days later, and 3) the location of the crop circle itself.  This discovery confirmed the extraordinary nature of my crop circle initiation in 1995.  View Stace Tussel - Inman Crop Circle Alignment in a larger map

TWO: The Triangle. Plotting the locations of three key crop circle locations in my research of US formations from 1995 through 2002 creates a near-equilateral triangle enclosing 246,792 square miles, referencing Kansas at 82,282 square miles, tripled, which equals 246,846 square miles - a difference of just 54 square miles, which is roughly the size of the overlapped triangle in the middle of the large one (apparently an artefact of the mapping process, possibly having a connection to satellite techniques and Earth curvature, since the centre of a triangle should be a point, and not another triangle).  View Stace Tussel - Crop Circle Alignments in a larger map

THREE: Parallel Lines.  The overlay of maps one and two elicited another alignment speaking to the connectedness of all the phenomena.  From a direct E-W (equatorial) line, the Inman formation appeared at an angle of 29 degrees, and the line between Langdon and Teton runs on the same parallel angle of 29 degrees.  View Stace Tussel - Parallel Lines in a larger map

Men In Black, UFOs and Crop Circles - Additional Witness Reports

Saturday, November 27th, 2010

Who are the Men in Black? Digital Art by James Neff.

Who are the Men in Black? Digital Art by James Neff.

Who are the Men In Black?

My friend and fellow researcher, Rick Nelson, has interviewed dozens of people who’ve encountered the notorious Men In Black (or MIBs) over the years.  Rick uses intelligence protocols learned in his 4 years with Naval Air Intelligence in the 1960s and teaching Top Gun courses at Miramar to assess witness credibility. Rick’s judgment is sound, and I value his feedback immensely.

Men in Black have appeared to UFO and close-encounter witnesses in many ways over many decades.  I asked Rick to share his thoughts about the various characteristics and interpretations of Men in Black.

Whether appearing as secret agents or non-humanoid beings, the MIBs have one thing in common:  their clandestine agenda involves suppressing public knowledge of - and access to - advanced technologies derived from UFO and extraterrestrial phenomena.

Often the MIBs seem to represent organisations involved in emergent global economic interests.  “Men In Black are linked to the suppression of a wide spectrum of exotic technologies - ranging from anti-gravity to advanced medical technologies,” Rick says.

MIBs Connected to Kansas UFOs and Crop Circles

Shortly after I got involved with crop circles in the mid-1990s, I crossed paths with apparent MIB-type agents a few times.  These encounters seemed to involve both surveillance and intimidation.  Here are a couple of examples:

One early Sunday morning in 1996 fellow crop circle researcher Ron Russell and I were parting ways after meeting in a small, western-Kansas town to work on a research grant proposal.  Standing inside near an open, screened window, I noticed a man posing as a land surveyor pointing an apparent detection device directly toward us from about 50 feet away.  When the man noticed that we’d seen him, he hurried into his van and drove off - but not before we got the company name and number off the side of the vehicle.  Both the name and the phone number were fake.

Later the same morning, as I drove south on a deserted county road, a small, unmarked black helicopter overtook my vehicle from behind, flying on a diagonal from northwest to southeast.  The chopper buzzed my car from no more than 100 feet or so overhead.

While I haven’t been confronted by MIBs in odd black vehicles and black attire, other witnesses have described face-to-face encounters with the MIBs involving direct intimidation.  Brian, whose experiences involving the bright gold orbs and culminating in a life-altering encounter with an apparent extraterrestrial vehicle were reported in my post from last week,  Psychic Connection to UFOs and Crop Circles, had what he calls a “run-in” with Men In Black, whom he suspected to be government agents or secret service personnel.

Brian Describes “Run-In” With Mysterious Men In Black

“About 6 months to a year after my last UFO sighting, I was driving to Hutchinson from Buhler, and as I came up to the intersection of Buhler-Haven Road and 30th Street I saw that the road was blocked…and there was a small, black, unmarked helicopter in the middle of the intersection.”  Two cars blocked the intersection from each direction, facing away from the helicopter at a distance of about 50 yards.  Men dressed in black suits and black sunglasses, like “secret service agents,” were standing by the cars.

Brian rolled down his window as he approached one of the men, and “all he said to me was ‘You need to turn around, now.’  I complied and went my merry way.”

Notably, this particular intersection was where Brian had his first sighting of the golden orbs, when he was 15 years old, in early 1996.  That first time, Brian reports,”there were five yellow lights hovering horizontally.  As we continued driving toward Buhler the lights faded out one by one.”

Brian saw the lights within a few miles of the same intersection on other occasions, as previously reported, including the last time when two orbs seemed to respond to his thoughts.  He said that just as he was feeling a bit exasperated about the cat-and-mouse nature of the orbs, the craft - estimated to be as large as a football field - lit up and showed itself to Brian and his friend.  That time, in 2000 or 2001, he saw that the gold orbs ran along the middle line of a huge, disk shaped craft, while synchronised white lights all around the top and bottom “relayed from around the back toward the front.”

Whether Brian simply happened upon the situation with the MIBs, or was somehow drawn to the spot at a time when he could witness and report this apparent clandestine operation, his MIB encounter occurred just months after his profound sighting of the huge, and presumably extraterrestrial, craft.

Evidence Supports Witness’ MIB Encounter Report

30th & Buhler-Haven Road in Kansas
30th & Buhler-Haven Road in Kansas

The intersection of Buhler-Haven Road and 30th Street, just east of Hutchinson, can be viewed using the “street view” feature on Google Maps.  I have to admit I was a bit surprised when I zeroed in on the intersection where Brian had his MIB encounter 10 years ago.  A small “X” marked the spot:

To determine if this marking is typical on Kansas roads, I used Google Maps on a number of similar rural intersections, but found no others.  Conceivably, then, the “X” was a guide or marker for the helicopter that landed there and was surrounded by MIBs and unmarked black cars.  A connection between the MIB interest and the number of sightings of golden orb UFOs in the immediate vicinity of the intersection seems likely.

Next, I decided to contact the Kansas Department of Transportation to inquire further about road markings - specifically the “X” in question.  Without telling him why I was curious, I spoke with Brian Gower, a KDOT road engineer, asking him what the “X” may indicate.  Could the marking be there for satellite mapping purposes, for instance?  Not that Gower knew of.  Regarding the intersection in question, Gower told me he had “no clue” why there would be any marking at all - in fact, he was as perplexed as I was.  According to KDOT, there are only two reasons why an “X” would be painted on a roadway:  1) at a railroad crossing and 2) to indicate areas on a road that shouldn’t be blocked by stopped traffic - for instance, near a fire station.

Neither of these reasons apply to the marking at the significant intersection of 30th and Buhler-Haven Road.  Ironically, in light of what happened there prior to the MIB operation, the most sensible explanation is that it was to mark the helicopter’s curious landing pad.  Now, why the secrecy?  Ultimately, that question remains unanswered.

Conclusion:  UFOs, Crop Circles, and Men In Black - Connecting the Dots

Bright gold orbs are a fairly common type of UFO.  I’ve seen them on several occasions, and on at least a couple of occasions the lights appeared to respond to my thought.  I’ve also engaged in what I consider telepathic communication with non-human circlemakers and with UFOs, as I’ve detailed in numerous prior posts here.

Historically, golden orbs and crop circles have often occurred in close proximity to each other.  “Golden Ball Hill,” near Alton-Barnes in Wiltshire, England - the heart of crop circle country - was named thus for obvious reasons.  Here in the United States, the bright gold orbs witnessed in Kansas by Brian sound very much like the lights seen by Chad, the farmer who witnessed them hovering over a field where the Inman crop circle appeared.

Once I began investigating crop circles in earnest, I had several unexplained encounters with MIB-types.  Within a couple of days of her first visit to crop circles, which was with me in North Dakota in 2000, my friend Lyn encountered a small black helicopter hovering outside a house where she was doing some interior painting, and she suddenly began receiving phone calls at odd hours with no one on the line.  Mere coincidence?  Or was she being watched or harassed since becoming a crop circle witness?

Whatever the connection means, UFOs - often in the form of bright gold orbs - appear in conjunction with crop circles.  And where UFOs and crop circles manifest, Men In Black seem to have some kind of mission involving intimidation of witnesses and surreptitious suppression of leading-edge technologies, including those involving consciousness, that infuse both UFO and crop circle phenomena.

After much consideration, I can only conclude that the modern manmade crop art, which is visually stunning and even enchanting to its many enthusiasts, may serve as virtual MIBs.  They are, perhaps, a more insidious way to muddle the extraordinary implications of the original phenomenon.  For anyone interested in learning more about the evidence on this controversial topic, I highly recommend the excellent documentary Crop Circles: The Hidden Truth.

The eventual widespread, peaceful, and open revelation of the extraterrestrial presence on Earth will crumble the wall of secrecy around Men In Black, UFOs, and crop circles.  Exactly how and when this will happen is unknown, but humanity is ready - and I think willing - to face this certain paradigm shift.

STACE TUSSEL

Update:  Witness visited the intersection in December 2010 and reported back to me that the road was recently repaved, and the “X” is no longer there.  According to Kansas records, the repaving was completed in 2008, obviously after the Google maps shot was taken.

Psychic Connection to UFOs and Crop Circles - New Witness Report

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010

UFO and Crop Circles - copyright Ron Russell

A few weeks ago I received a note from Laura Neville, a long-time Kansas resident, who recently watched my YouTube video about the crop circle synchronicity in Inman, Kansas in 1995.  In the video I describe how I silently wished for a crop circle to appear close enough for me to check it out, and how at that moment over 100 miles away a young farmer named Chad saw a row of golden lights hovering over a field across the road from where he was tilling - in the exact spot where a crop circle was found a few days later.

Laura told me that late one night in June, 1995, she was driving between Hutchinson and Buhler when she and her two passengers witnessed an unusual light descend at a steep angle in the direction of Inman.  She’d never seen a UFO, but this was as close as any.  She wondered if it was a strange “falling star.”  A couple of days later the Hutchinson News featured a front-page article about a crop circle found near Inman.

One of the occupants in Laura’s vehicle was her son, Brian.  He’d seen UFOs in that area in the late 1990s, when he was a teenager.  A few days after Laura contacted me, Brian was kind enough to write to me describing his sightings in more detail.  His testimony is edited only slightly for clarity:

“From the years of approximately 1996-2000 I had five different encounters with the same ‘craft’ over the same area/fields between Buhler and Inman.  The visible objects in the sky appeared as glowing, bright gold orbs with spinning red lights in the center… [they] were always lowly hovering above the ground and roughly a mile or so away… I would drive for miles and the lights would stay the exact same distance away from the car the entire time.”

(Note that Brian’s description of the UFOs is similar to the young farmer who apparently witnessed the formation of the Inman crop circle.  Chad described “a row of lights, 8 or 9 lights, like car headlights on dim,” hovering over the field and kicking up dust - precisely where the crop circle was found a few days later.  Conceivably, orbs appearing like dim headlights may appear as bright gold orbs if not partially obscured.)

The orbs varied in number during the different sightings.  Brian said, “One time there would be four orbs and next time there would be two and the next time three, etc…”  And while each encounter was “extremely significant,” the last time he saw the lights “proved to be the most profound.”  In Brian’s words:

“My best friend and I pulled out of band practice on Buhler-Haven road at about 9.30 PM.  We instantly saw two gold orbs hovering down the road… So of course we both get excited and ended up following the lights past Buhler and into a field outside of town.  There were two orbs at this time just floating a few hundred feet off the ground and about a mile away.  I decided to turn off my car and flash my lights at it.  In my head I’m going… ‘COME ON!  I have seen you five times!

“At this moment [the ship] decided to light itself up for 5-6 seconds and give my friend and me a show….the ship was HUGE.  Lights went around the top and bottom of the ship displaying its size.  Definitely over a football field!”

Brian’s experience corroborates numerous sightings of unidentified golden orbs seen in Kansas, not only in the vicinity of the Inman crop circle, but also in other parts of the state where crop circles have appeared.  And his apparent telepathic communication with the UFO and/or its occupants supports the testimony of many UFO observers and crop circle researchers - myself among them.

A few of my reports which involve apparent psychic communication in UFO and crop circle events are posted here already, including Cosmic Driving Lessons and Inviting Confirmation: Extreme Synchronicity and Crop Circles.

Brian’s story doesn’t end here.  My next post describes his subsequent encounter with MIBs, or “Men in Black” - something I’ve got more to tell about as well.

Inviting Confirmation: Extreme Synchronicity and Crop Circles

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

I’ve always been drawn to the tiny dipper in the night sky, the Pleiades.  Somehow they’ve always felt like “home.”  Through binoculars, the cluster of stars resembles a grand city of of light floating in deep space.  A profound connection exists between the Pleiades and crop circles.

In the spring of 1995 I was suddenly and inexplicably saturated with everything Pleiadean.  I found the compelling book Atlantis and the Seven Stars by J Countryman, and I listened over and over to a song which happened to be playing “at random” as I walked into a friend’s house one afternoon; Pleiadean Communication, by A Positive Life, is aptly named - (you can listen here).

That spring I’d also discovered and eagerly absorbed Circular Evidence, the classic field guide to crop circle research by Colin Andrews and Pat Delgado.  Even though I’d immersed myself in mysteries of all sorts throughout my life, nearly thirty years passed before I discovered crop circles - something everyone else had apparently heard of.  The mention of crop circles elicited the ubiquitous, “Oh, those were made by two guys from the pub who used ropes and boards to fool everybody.”

But that didn’t set well with me, because by then I’d already had my own close encounter with the circle makers.  On the 16th of June, 1995, I had asked for a crop circle close enough for me to visit - and one appeared at that moment, in Inman, Kansas.  In the following short video I describe some of the mystical communication I’ve experienced when tuned to frequency of the non-human circle makers, whoever they may be:

In the video I share radical evidence supporting the theory that non-human intelligence has played an active, intentional role in at least some of the crop circles, starting with my first.  I wished for a crop circle at around 10.30 PM on the 16th of June 1995, and at that same time a farmer tilling a field over 100 miles away from me witnessed a long, straight row of dim lights hovering over a central Kansas wheat field and kicking up dust.  The farmer, Chad, told me that the hair on his arms stood on end as he watched for about 10 minutes.  When he looked back at the end of a row the lights had disappeared, leaving him confused and a bit spooked.  A few days later the Inman crop circle was found in the exact spot where the lights had hovered.

My friend Mike experienced a very similar event with the crop circle which appeared near Teton, Idaho in 2002, and in fact, that’s where I met him - in the Teton formation.  We’d both expressed a desire for a crop circle appear close by, and in our ways we’d received confirmation that our wishes were immediately heard and answered.

For what it’s worth, Mike and I are both UFO experiencers.

What does all this mean?  Perhaps alongside the crop artists working the fields of England these days, a distinctly non-human intelligence infuses some of the circles, speaking in riddle and synchronicity, from another dimension.  If any doubts linger about the reality of non-human crop circle makers, so be it - but surely the fact that a crop circle answered my wish for one, precisely on a significant alignment, is food for thought.  How this all unfolded is seemingly against all odds - if very remotely possible.

For instance, you could choose 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 in the lottery and have the same odds of winning as if you chose 4, 18, 21, 25, and 36.  But overall, five consecutive numbers would be less likely to comprise the winning numbers than five random numbers, since the lottery can be played with many hundreds of thousands of combinations of random numbers, and relatively few sequential ones.  You can apply this concept to drawing lines on a map of a state consisting of 82,000 square miles.

My point is that the exact alignment of three meaningful points on the map was a straight flush to trump all others.  On top of that, the odds of a crop circle forming at the moment I wished for it - with a witness - is confirmation, beyond a reasonable doubt, of telepathic communication.  I’ve published the diagram at right in a few other posts here, but I’ll do it again to illustrate the playful nature of the circle makers as they created an original crop circle in the form of a stylised tractor, mirroring the one the witness was using to till the field just a few hundred yards away…

And what, might you ask, do the Pleiades have to do with crop circles?  The Pleiades are part of the Taurus constellation, and crescents reminiscent of bull’s horns appeared regularly in mid-1990s crop circles - a time when, I intuit, more of the formations were not the product of human crop artistry.

With deep gratitude to my friends, the non-human circle makers:  thank you for being part of my life and for allowing me to share this story.  And to all the human crop artists out there, thank you as well for the beautiful forms in the fields.  Many of your designs are quite lovely - and, I like to think, inspired by a higher power.

All of us have a long way to go yet - and we are nearly there …

Note that in the video there are a couple of flashes that Kelle identifies in her comment to this post.  The one at precisely 3 minutes is particularly vivid!  I can’t explain the flashes of light.

My report on the Inman crop circle was originally published in the former UK publication The Circular.

Inman, Kansas - 22 June 1995 (formed 16 June 1995)

My hand-drawn diagram of the formation (meticulous!):

My daughter was 7 years old, and it was our first time in a crop circle:

This photo shows the powerful central swirl of the smaller circle:

A week or so later I went back for more research, and took this photo showing the rather perturbed layers in the southeastern part of the formation:

Generous thanks to Kate Gertzen, who took photos of my old photographs …

In an upcoming short article and accompanying video I’ll share the clever synchronicities associated with the Inman, Kansas crop circle of June, 1995.  (A longish written version of the story can be read here)

Ridgeway - Preliminary Diagram by Andreas Muller

Ridgeway - Preliminary Diagram by Andreas Muller

I’ve deleted my last two posts on this subject, combined them and added something new, so that in this post everything’s finally all together.  When I saw the first crop circle of 2009, I immediately noticed its similarity to an important formation in North Dakota in 2000.  As stated in one of my prior articles, peculiar echoes from the Thompson formation of 2000 are evident in the Ridgeway formation of 2009…and I’d like to know why.

For comparison and contrast, three images accompany this post:

  • My diagram of the Thompson, ND, United States, “Circle in Parentheses,” of late summer 2000
  • Andreas Muller’s diagram of the 2009 Ridgeway formation near Avebury
  • Peter Sorensen’s uncorrected photography of the 2009 Ridgeway formation

What I intend to argue is that the much-acclaimed Ridgeway Waveguide appears to carry on a theme that started with the little-known Thompson formation nearly a decade ago.  If any doubt remains that the crop circles are somehow related, the “error” in one of the Ridgeway arcs (corrected in Andreas’ diagram and in Peter’s PhotoShopped stills, not shown here) hints that the tapered arc is not only intentional, but may even be a radical point (no pun intended) - and thus, it shouldn’t be disregarded as a mere mistake.

1)  My Thompson diagram is a bit rough-looking, but accurate. Extensive ground measurements and compass bearings taken throughout this large, if simple, formation, show the circle hugged by two arcs - three of the ends perpendicular, and one tapered.  I followed the tapered arc with dowsing rods, and was strongly guided toward the inner circle, where between the taper and the circle in the stubbled wheatfield (which had been harvested without any media hoopla) was a beautifully swirled grapeshot, probably no more than 18 inches in diameter.   The Thompson formation was significantly larger than the Ridgeway formation, though less intricate - and the firmly pressed wheat left no question that the taper was indeed part of the design.

2)  Andreas Muller’s diagram of the 2009 Ridgeway formation is enchanting.  (Reproduced with permission.  See Andreas’ website at http://www.cropcirclescience.org.)  The design really does seem to reference a waveguide, as Simeon Hein (www.newcrystalmind.com) pointed out when he reported on the first crop circle of the 2009 season.  The diagram, although preliminary, probably won’t be changed much, if at all, due to its aesthetic appeal as is - although I’d like to see the tapered arc that we can confirm was there, as seen in Peter Sorensen’s unretouched stills of the Ridgeway formation - next:

3)  Here’s one of Peter’s “raw” stills, with which I’ve taken the liberty to enhance the contrast in order to better show the tapered arc that Peter edited out of his final photographic versions of the Ridgeway crop circle, which can be seen at his website: http://cropcircleconnector.com/Sorensen/PeterSorensen99.html. Quoting Peter from personal correspondence, “The picture I sent around to be posted on my web page yesterday did NOT show the detail you were interested in, because (as I so often do) I had fixed what we circlemakers would call an error — the crooked end of the arc.”  (Despite the heightened contrast, the tapered arc is still somewhat difficult to see - in part due to the shot’s angle as well as the flowering oilseed rape crop in which the Ridgeway formation appeared.  In this photo, it’s in the arc nearest the inner circle on the right side.  Nick Nicholson’s image, available in the 2009 archives via membership at the Crop Circle Connector website, more clearly shows the remarkable similarity - with the taper clearly opposing the expected geometry, exactly as in the Thompson formation.)

What I’ve noticed from my 14 years of crop circle studies is that all the formations that have resonated most strongly with me have been touched by some kind of “magic.”  These clues range from instantaneous healing, as in the Bishops Cannings formation, to amazing synchronicities interwoven on many levels of experience over time, as with the Inman, Kansas formation and the three North Dakota formations (of which Thompson was one).

Unless it’s just a simple coincidence that both formations show very similar geometry (to start with, simply put an “X” through the inner circle to find the ends of all the arcs) as well as what I consider a very-telling “error,” i.e., the tapered arc in both formations, then we must consider these surface aspects to be intentional and therefore something to be included in any serious contemplation of the phenomenon’s deeper implications.

My article “More Crop Circle Synchronicities - North Dakota, 2000” details that entire whirlwind expedition to Langdon and Thompson, ND, fraught with wild synchronicities and enigmatic clues.  If you’d like to more fully appreciate my fascination with the Ridgeway Waveguide, please take time to read that post.

Doug Bower - Crop Circle Trickster At Large

Sunday, April 5th, 2009

The time has come for me to tell my trickster tale.  I’ve been holding on to this one because, while I can see what the trickster represented, it’s been more difficult putting into words why I believe he appeared to me - and in the form he took:  Doug Bower.

During my late twenties I was undergoing huge transformations in my life, none more important than my ongoing romance with crop circles which began in 1995.  A preface to this trickster tale, my prior post entitled “Pleiadean Communication and Crop Circles,” describes how - apparently by design - I was prepared for and ushered into the study and experience of crop circles.

Synchronicity goes hand in hand with the crop circle experience, at least for me and several of my croppie buddies.  And in my view, many of the shapes themselves are archetypal in a way, resonating within many of us as an undeciphered but deeply meaningful language.

With all these Jungian concepts floating around, it’s no surprise that the trickster would show up somewhere in the mix.  I don’t quite understand the trickster phenomenon, but people all around the world for all of time have reported it, so I take what I experienced in late summer of 1995 seriously.  Again, what it means, and why it happened…I can only speculate.

I was standing in line at the supermarket in Emporia, Kansas, probably lost in thought.  The crop circles had pretty much come in and swept me up in their magic earlier that year, and they were about all I could think about.  The synchronicities, the beauty and the fun - I just couldn’t seem to get enough.  But of course grocery shopping must go on.

A tap on my shoulder made me turn around.  First I saw a hand holding out a piece of paper:  my shopping list, which I’d apparently dropped.  I took it, saying “thanks” before getting a look at this good samaritan behind me. When I finally did look up to meet his eyes - no exaggeration here - I nearly fainted.  I can only imagine the look on my face as I realised that there behind me was Doug Bower himself - or someone or something who looked exactly like him, complete with a knowing smirk and twinkling eyes.

For a few timeless seconds this trickster engaged me in an unspoken dialogue.  Like the meanings coded in the crop circles themselves, the trickster’s actions and words must be deciphered by each experiencer.  I know this much:  I didn’t get any negative vibe from him.  What I sensed was that he knew what I was up to, and that he appreciated my excitement and dedication to the crop circles - a phenomenon with which, by now, everyone associated him.

He knew I recognised him as well, which certainly seemed to please him -  moreso, I’d guess, since prior to the Inman crop circle months before I’d never even heard of him!  Everyone I talked with seemed to know all about the “two old fellows from the pub” who claimed to be the source of all the hubbub - whereas I’d barely heard of crop circles, let alone Doug and Dave, until early 1995, when I read Circular Evidence and then wished for and received the Inman crop circle.  (My unbiased wonder about the subject, untainted by misinformation, made me wonder if that’s why I was gifted with the Inman formation … but that’s another story.)

He and I didn’t exchange words, but I’ll never forget the smile in his eyes as he handed me my shopping list.  Here was Doug Bower, trickster at large, appearing in a small-town Kansas supermarket on a hot summer afternoon.  Who would’ve thought?  Confronting me was the trickster himself, better known for teasing or attempting to throw one off track, instead appearing to offer me a bit of recognition and encouragement, and adding yet another layer of magic to the mystery.

But perhaps I misread the entire event.  In handing me my dropped slip of paper, was his gesture simply a peace offering in disguise?  There’s something to think about….

STACE TUSSEL

My gracious thanks to whoever took the photo of Doug.  I pulled it off the internet, but there was no information attached about the photographer.  And thank you, Colin, for your curious yet not so surprising addition to the story!
